What are your Favourite Pulgins?
Posted by David Chaudoir on July 4, 2007 at 10:35 amCertain plugins in After Effects have shaped alot of what our design and animation looks like (Trapcodes 3d Stroke for example). What are the plugins you couldn’t live without and why?

July 4, 2007 at 12:42 pmDon’t have any Pulgins 😉 But plug I now cannot do without are Trapcode Shine, 3D stroke, Particular and Knoll Light Factory. Mainly because alot of what I do is cheesy gfx and our clients love a bit of Shine and flares on their text. They are all proper useful for plenty of other stuff too though.
Plugins I could really do with? NUCLEO PRO, ZAXWERKS PROANIMATOR & LAYER WARPS….as soon as I get the go ahead for some cash they will all be mine, oh yes.

2. Digi-effects (Cinelook/Film Damage)
3. Sapphire’s ‘Shake’ – it literally made
an otherwise simply-just-abstract 16mm
music video zing!

4. Trapcode (of course)D.

July 5, 2007 at 2:53 pmTrapcode – My boss is like a silly kitten he love shiny stuff. over all trap code’s filters rock. 3d stoke is great stuff, there is endless possibilities with that filter
I really like to use a Eye candy as well. they have some basic stuff that is already covered by AE but with a little more control and looks better.
most basic distort filter are great… i love .. and i mean love Compound Blur. Once you find out to really control it you will love it too.. great for faking DOF.
Cheers,
Lowtech.
