What are the fastest/faster 2.5″ Laptop drives from 1-5TB or so?
Self explanatory, curious which drives keep up well with the fast modern SD cards like UHS-2 and such for data offloading in the field.
I have a concern about “shingled drives” because what i’ve read elsewhere is that transfer rates can be very sporadic – i’d like to get some multi terabyte portables to free up SD cards as fast as possible and although there are nice prices on some of the 4-5tb models, my assumption of shingled recording makes me wonder whether they will dump cards faster than 2tb PMR type drives.

It would seem, at least for now, that SMR drives are substantially slower than PMR drives but they can hold huge amounts of data per platter.
