  what am i doing wrong? continued choppy playback…

  I thought I had done everything I needed to do to get smooth playback on my Premiere Pro CS5 timeline. Dual quad core system, Win 7 64-bit, 8 GB of RAM, Nvidia GTX 285 card, Mercury engine engaged. But my playback is still choppy. I work a lot with .png sequences. I have one layer of .png files and I am getting choppy playback. This doesn’t seem right. What can I do?

  Also, the UI is very halting in its response. for instance, if I click and drag a value for position to change it, there is a lag in the response which makes it very annoying to work with. And when I play the time line, there is always a several second lag before it starts.

  I never had any of these problems with CS3…
