Im using a off the shelf Costco western digital 1TB drive to move some media around the studio and when I plug into a older FCP (that is “dead ended” with a older OS X 10.2.8 because of it’s old Aurora Igniter card) It will not see it???!! But it will mount on my leapord Harpertown’s (KONA LHe’s)…? Any suggestions?

Your old machine most likely does not have BootROM support for big drives.

If thats true your machine probably cannot support a drive larger then 200GB.

There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!

What are you trying to load onto this drive?
FCP projects done under Jaguar may not be recognized if you have formatted this under a newer OS,
    but QT movies should mount.

    Cheers
