It looks lovely, like a Braun kitchen appliance on the outside: and a death-dealing killbot on the inside.
And just in time for Father’s Day! (maybe).But… this lovely thing will have to be hooked up to external chassis and boxes to access RAID drives and disk burners and etc. Which kind of takes away from the aesthetic, don’t you think?
I know this is an FCP forum, but will Premiere even run on those double graphics boards? I’m very curious to hear the operational philosophy behind the architecture.

The nice thing about this computer, is its small and quiet enough that you can keep it on top of the desk (looks cool too), just nicely tie wrap your T-Bolt cables and route them through the cable management hole of your console to your ugly gear underneath (or in a rack mount unit).

I read on the AMD site that they are working closely with Adobe on getting these GPUs working well with their software. Grant Petty from Blackmagic says it already screams with Resolve. These are two companies that were heavily invested in Nvidias CUDA technology and despite these being strictly Open CL GPUs, they are fully on board.

I don’t think it involves rodents.
They are still a few months away from releasing this thing, so the specs and BTO prices are probably still being worked out. RAM and SDD prices are pretty volatile, as is supply.
There are 4 slots. Assuming there is supply in the fall, you should be able to put 4 x 32 GB Chips in there. If 32’s aren’t available in the fall (or not running with stability in OSX), you’ll have to settle for a measly 64GB of RAM.
I would guess your SSD storage would depend on how much you wanted to spend on internal storage. You can get pretty large capacity SSDs on a PCIe card today, but they ain’t cheap.
