Weird Thing With Viewer Stuck At 100% When Previewing EFX No Matter What!
So…I’m a long time FCP user and am still using 7 but have been learning FCP X (as well as Premiere and Avid) so I know all three. Well, I’ve finally done a few full projects for pay using X and, for the most part, I’m digging’ it.
Now my problem…and it might’ve happened after I installed the Alex 4D Ticker effect to use in a project… no matter what I have the viewer set to (fit, 50%, etc), when I go to preview an effect in the effects browser, it makes the viewer go to 100%. I’ve tried restarting the machine, repairing permissions, and changing settings to figure it out, but no joy so far.
Has anyone seen this? I’m not diggin’ it at all and want to get it back to normal. I know it wasn’t doing this before I started this project.

By the way…that is on an SD Project so that’s not so bad…you can imagine how bad this is when working with HD! Very much not cool at all. It appears there’s no way to get it to show these previews as “fit” at this point.

OK…I also completely uninstalled FCP X (after using preference manager to delete preferences) and re-installed and it’s still the same way!

Deleted the newest project from the browser and restarted. Cleared it up! Created a new project that has the exact same media and now it works fine. Like I said…weird.
