I’m having something odd happening and I feel like I hit some button I need to de-select but I’m not sure what.

When I scrub my timeline the cursor hovers over any clip and selects it – turning it white. The whole clip. As if I had “Linked Selection” On – but I do not.

If I mark and in and out it selects nothing – only the whole clip as I noted. So I cannot lift or delete a selection made with the in and out markers. Only entire clips.

I have reset my workspace. Tried toggling to default keyboard settings. Restarted box.

However if I start a NEW project everything seems as normal.

If I make a new sequence, and copy the media from my problem sequence – the aforementioned selection problem persists.

    Hmmmmmmmm?

And then he searched previous posts to learn:

Go to the Sequence menu and un-check Selection Follows Playhead.

    So solved. Thx Cows!
