I’m trying to export a comp with audio like I’ve done a thousand times in the past.

The audio is turned up in the comp, and if I preview it I can hear it loud and clear.
When I export I’m using a custom preset I made that includes audio export.
I tried it with the standard lossless preset and checked the export audio button.
I tried an audio only export and that failed.
Before today I exported one of these comps and it worked fine.
I even tried rebooting the computer.

All of this and when I export the comp I get a perfectly good quicktime with all the video elements, but no audio.

I’m working from home today so my next step is to go into the studio tomorrow and try it on another computer. I’d really like to let these things render out over night and not lose all that time, so I thought I’d see if anyone else has experienced this. I can’t figure out what I’m missing.

    Mr. Fischer

Check your prefes settings by pressing ” Cntrl + Alt + ; “.

In output setting – Audio Block Duration is 0:00:01:00 by default.

Check your audio hardware and Audio Out mapping settings.

    If nothing works then
Try to delete your prefs file. May be this will work.

Hold down the Command + Option + Shift keys as you start After Effects, this will allow you to delete the corrupt preference file. On a PC its Control + Alt + Shift.
