Weird pixelly footage – Premiere fix?
I’m going on vacation tomorrow, so I got a DBPower EX5000 action camera.
Basically low budget go pro. It’s shooting at 1080p with 30 fps.My problem is, the video quality is…ok…but I’ve noticed there are squiggly lines around textures, and some kinds of pixel blocking.

I’m disappointed in the quality – even thought I knew it wouldn’t be a $300 go pro quality setup.

If there’s no settings that you can adjust that’s fixable by getting a better camera.

Yeaaah…that’s what I’m afraid of.
Does it look like crap to you?
Of course after I order it I find one that’s $20 more and apparently way better.
Just a GoPro is way out of my price range – I mean $300? I could get some vintage dslr lenses with that money.

It feels like the manufacturer knows that the compression is terrible and tries to compensate by adding a lot of sharpness in. It looks bad.
