Weird issue requestor wants fixed
Hello,
I just finished a video for a requestor. In the Video my actress is wearing a shirt that has a white stitched logo. As of now I have a strange zebra interlacing effect happening with the logo. So let me retrace my steps.
1st – I have the clip on track one. During the clip I have a custom gradient mask moving in from the right (this is on track 2). So it would not cover my actress up I keyframed to move her clip slightly to the left. On track 3 I have a graphic that is the background for the text. The text is just FCP standard text. The text is transitioning in with the zoom transition.
I changed the sequence settings to “none” for interlacing as I did not like the effect it had on my text as it zoomed in.
So after my requestor’s complaint I copied and pasted the clip into a new sequence and rest the settings to the following
Frame Size: 720X480 NTSC DV (3:2)
Pixel Aspect Ratio: NTSC – CCIR601 / DV(..
Field Dominance: Lower (Even)
Editing Timebase 29.97 (I shot at 30p)
QT settings – DV/DVCPRO – NTSCWhen I did this the strange zebra effect only happens AFTER I move her to the side. If I set it back to “None” the strange effect starts from the beginning of the clip.
So I have two issues – If I keep the interlacing off the logo is hot mess but If I turn the interlacing to either odd or even – I go back to the text transitions looking horrible.
PS – I have tried export with compressor at H.264 and Mpeg4 – both exports had the same issues so I really don’t think it is the compression doing this.
PLEASE HELP.
