I’m hopeful that someone here can help me with this, because I’m getting desperate.

So, for this client, I shot a bunch of footage with an HDX900 at 30p. As they’re a sports client, they also gave me a batch of highlight footage on Beta SP at 29.97i, which I captured using a Decklink card.

Did the edit in Final Cut, then worked through all the effects stuff in After Effects, mixing the two together, and it played back beautifully each and every time in AE. When I was getting ready to put it back onto Beta, suddenly there’s this big stuttering problem with all the interlaced stuff. Any idea what that could be? How can it play back just fine in AE and be rotten everywhere else?

Never mind. It was a problem in After Effects. Got it all figured. Whew.
