    Hi all,

Just recently upgraded to CS4, which is cool, but there seems to be one bug in particular that’s causing me grief.

For some reason, when I render a comp, one or two of the imported stills I’m using seem to flicker between connected and offline. The result is that every second frame renders fine with the correct image, and the frames in between render with a big square of colour bars in its place. It doesn’t happen every time, and it doesn’t always happen to the same files.

If the entire thing was offline I’d at least know where to start looking, but the fact that it’s only every second frame that screws up is doing my head in.

Anyone know what the hell it could be?

    Cheers

Found the solution recently and thought I’d post it and answer my own question.

It’s something to do with multiprocessing. It seems, for some ridiculous reason, that one of the two processors are unable to locate the file(s) in question, but the other one is fine. This causes the effect of every second frame being screwed. Disabling Multiprocessing seems to fix it.
