  weird!

  I`d like an answer to this question: Why the same 16X9 anamorphic AVI file (produced with Vegas) opens with it’s correct aspect ratio with my Vegas 4 and as a distorted 4X3 AVI file with my Vegas 5, independently of the project settings?
  It’s a rendered anamorphic 16X9 AVI file, not a project. Independently how is the project set, the AVI file (maybe it was rendered in Vegas 4.0d) opens in its correct aspect ratio with Vegas 4.0d and distorted 4X3 aspect ratio with Vegas 5.0d. But if I render a standard 4X3 clip as a DV widescreen in Vegas straight from Vegas 5.0d, the resulting AVI was a correct anamorphic widescreen file.
