Thanks for all the great links guys! Chris is right…its great to have instant access to a huge library. You can lose a lot of time on a project hunting for resources and inspiration (at least I have found that true in my experience). To have all of those commercials at your fingertips is a great time-saver.

Try “The Stash” https://www.stashmedia.tv/ It costs 200$ for student yearly subscription, 215$ for regular subscription. (I don’t think there is a difference) You get a magazine and a DVD a month. I haven’t read the magazine, but the DVD is kickass, it shows top commercials or short films which cameout that month and also little nuggets on how they were made, very cool. I am about to sign up when I get my next check.

And just to toss my $.02 onto the pile. If you’re looking for inspiration (and who of us hasn’t) – looking at film title sequences is a great place. I’ll rent DVD’s and if I like the titles, rip it to a small Quicktime movie and keep in in an inspiration folder. I also teach so these come in handy when talking about a particualr sequence or effect.

Another creat source is all the demo reels from motion houses out there. There even a couple sites I believe that have lists of links to motion houses with good reels. Many innovative spots can be found on these reels.
