I’m having a problem making a loop video.

I have a 3-d floor, a point light for backlighting, and an object in-between which casts shadows onto the floor. I’d like to fade the shadows out but keep the backlighting and the illuminated floor. Not sure if there’s a way…

(The reason why I’m doing this is because I’m trying to create a seamless loop of the shadows sweeping across the floor from left to right without ever going from right to left. i’m really stuck how I can get the light to sweep over and over again without this abrupt jump back to the other side, which of course ruins the loop)

    thank you for any advice!

Have you tried animating the light’s ‘Shadow Darkness’ property down to 0%?

Thank you, Darby! I can’t believe I didn’t see that. (I kept fiddling with the material options of the object casting the shadows.)

    You guys are awesome.
