  • Way to convert to C4d from Max and VRay?

I have a model I want to animate in C4D that was modeled in Max and textured using Vray materials. The best we can do so far is get the Max model into an OBJ but the VRay textures are a no-go. Does anyone have any advice here?

I imagine you’ll have to redo the materials from scratch, unfortunately.

That seems to be the prevailing opinion- too bad. I’ve heard there were rumblings of development of a Vray version for C4D- that would rock. Sounds like a great renderer.

Yep, I’m a big fan of VRay renders. I guess they’re working on a standalone which should be connectable to Cinema without too much trouble.
