We need to export audio only in a PC compatible format larger than 4GB. I’ve read that AIFF and normal WAVE are 32 bit based and therefore limited and that Apple recommends CAF.

    Questions:
    a) Our PC developer is looking at Wave64 (RF64). Anyone know if this is supported in FCP and if not is there a 3rd party plugin which allows this?

    b) Any other audio only formats other than CAF that can do > 4G

FCP doesn’t export audio formats other than aif and wav. It does export quicktime files which can be larger than 4 gig and they can be multichannel files.

If you can explain why an audio export from FCP will exceed 4 gigs per file, then perhaps I can help advise a different way to export your audio.
