I am hoping someone has a suggestion for me.

I need to export a video using WAV audio in 6 channel surround. The digital cinema package software (DCP) that I will be processing the footage in requires the audio in WAV.

I follow the process as outlined below, but when I get to the Sound Setting option in Quicktime Conversions, I am not allowed to select a surround config from the list.

Any ideas of what I might try?

    – Sequence Settings
    – Audio Outputs
    – Load Audio Output Presets
    – 5.1 Monitoring

    – General
    – Audio Settings
    – Config
    – Discrete Channels

    – Edit Panel
    – Audio Outputs
    – Assign each Track 1 thru 6

    – File
    – Export
    – Using Quicktime Conversions

    – Format: Quicktime Movie

    – Options: Sound Settings
    – Channels
    – Only Mono & Stereo (LR) are selectable.
(All other surround selections are grayed out.)

Why not just export your audio tracks separately (i.e. individual .wav files) and import them into DCP?

Sadly, the DCP software will process only complete files at a time. If no audio channels have data, the tracks are filled with white noise.
