Where I’ve been working with After Effects I thought I’d post here as I can’t find a General Forum to post this problem.

I hope someone can steer me in the right direction. I’m basically trying to create the animated effect of water wetting a road-surface that is banked. I’ve wasted much time so far.

I thought I might have had it with Painter, but no. Although I can record the brushstroke I can’t get the animated stroke applied to a movie as they suggest.

To further explain, I’m not interested in getting the animation of the stroke from point A to B as it were, but the effect of that stroke running down. I used one of the water brushes-bleach I believe. It looked good, but there’s no way of showing that animation.

    Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Thanks.
    The Other Steve.
