    ProGuys,

    a warm Hello from Munich!

    I’m “PostProIng” and stabilizing a TimeLapseShot at the moment.
    My prob is, if i “SubWarpStab” the clip, AE is cropping mostly the upper and left edges of my frames, fine for me! But i like to stabilize with the “position-method” only, this works better in my case for many reasons.
    The trickiness here is, in this mode, AE is cropping the lower edge of the frame mostly and this is exactly my BIG problem! I tried it some 25 times now to hit the fluke – no chance – always the lower edge get’s cropped! In my case, all edges can get cropped but please not the lower one.

    Is there a way (or workaround) to force AE to crop rather the upper edge instead of the lower?

    Many thanks for your thoughts guys!

    PS.
    Not a Pro in AE – but learning fast! (-;

    Never heard of that option, to nail one edge. I can’t really imagine though why you would need that?

    There’s an excellent stabilizer in DaVinci by the way. If all you need is HD, it can be done in the lite version for free.

    Cheers,

    Clay,
    thanks for your answer first!
    I’m working in 5K (4:2) (original DSLR RAW’s -> TIFF) for 4K intermediate (16:9 reframed) and in the end 2K output.
    The reason is simple why i need the lower edge, it is the “main-action-area”!
    The upper edge is just clouds and sky, no prob to get cropped up there.
    It would be all perfect for me, just the false two edges gettin’ circumcised during PositioningSrabilizing.
    I would need just to flip it!
    Possible you think?

    Cheers dude,

    Emanuel

    Thank you very much – with unfortunately still rainy greets from Munich.

    Hey Dave,

    today I posted a question, what you possible already answered.
    Let me know, how I exactly nest a 4K comp in HD comp please.

    Thank you.

    I’m very happy Dave your Salvator problem has been solved!
    Must have been torture before. (-;

    Thanks for helping me nesting!
    That’s really simple – I was looking for some function labeled “nest”.

    Last question on that:
    Should I first stabilize the 4K-comp before nesting – or should I nest first the 4K in a HD comp prior warp-stab? Or does it makes no difference at all?

    Many thanks again,

    Emanuel
