Warning Dropped Frames
I have been fighting the Warning Drop Frames Message coming up since updating to FCP 6. Endless times, changing settings etc, nothing seems to help except turning off “Mirror on Desktop” in the AV Devices window, but I never had to do that when I used any version of FCP 5 – 5.1.4.
I have tested the hard drives for i/o speeds etc. About two weeks ago, I loaded Little Snitch for a different reason and tonight, after setting up FCP 6 and making sure everything in the setup where right, I played my test from the timeline.
I turned on the Little Snitch Monitor window to watch it, to see if I could find any clues to this “Warning Drop Frames” issue. Everytime FCP 6 give me the “Warning Drop Frames” the Little Snitch Monitor window has an entry called “Finder via nmblookup” which has occurred.
This is the only time FCP 6 stops when playing from the timeline with the “Mirror on Desktop” running.
Any help in how, what to do, to understand why FCP 6 stops, when this occurs would be helpful in anyway to keep this “Finder via nmblookup” from occurring?
This has been happening since FCP 6 came out. I have been able to work with FCP 6 fine, but I have had to turn off my “Mirror on Desktop” option.
Thoughts from the leaders of this forum would be greatly appreciated.
