  • Want to import Illustrator film WITH colors!

    Hi,
I have Zaxwerks ProAnimator. I want to import an Adobe Illustrator file with colors, but even if the box is checked at the import dialog, all I got is an entire blue 3D-object. How can I map the original colors to that object?

    thanks in advance!!

    Hi Clintwood.

    Here’s my guess…

your largest object is blue. your other objects may be other colors, but they’re not visible because they’re all on the same Z plane. Try selecting your other objects and moving them forward in Z space. If you’ve checked the “use Illustrator colors” box, you should get those colors.

    How’s my guess?

    Jon

One other thought – the “use Illustrator colors” option does not mean you can use fancy blends or patterns. You need solid Illustrator colors.

    Hi Jon
there were two problems. The first was, that the illustrator artist grouped everything together, so I couldn’t seperate them in Zaxwerks.
So I asked him to delete the group now it works – AFTER I moved them forward in Z space 🙂 So you were right, too. Thanks for the hint!
