  • Want mono tracks in Multicam Sequence

I have 2 Camera angles with reference audio, and then two mono tracks of the real audio, one lower and one higher. When I select all 4 clips and make a Multicam Sequence, it puts the audio as the first 2 tracks in the sequence, but one is panned left and the other is panned right. How can I quickly modify all of this Multiclips so that the audio that is mono comes out as mono, same in each speaker, when in the Multiclip?

There’s a track mapping icon at the head of each track in a multicam sequence that will let you send which track you want wherever you want it.

Is there some way that I can have the fact that the audio tracks are mono to begin with carry through when the multicam sequence is created? I have many clips to sync, and having to go into each one specifically to reassign tracks and stuff is something that I’m trying to figure out how to avoid.

When you say, send which track I want wherever I want it, what do you mean in this circumstance?

    Anyone else have this issue?

I’m trying to sync up a bunch of clips, and I have 2 camera angles with reference audio and then the audio from our Sound Guy, recorded in Mono, one recorded a bit hotter, and one with a bit more headroom. When I create a multicam Sequence using Audio syncing, it creates a sequence, but then places my audio on the first 2 tracks, one panned to the Left, and one Panned to the right. Then I have to manually go into the sequence, and create new Mono tracks and drag the audio clips to those tracks. This extra work at the tail end is becoming very tedious over the course of syncing many clips.

Is there an easier way to toggle a stereo track mono without having to create and manually move clips around?

Anyone have any thoughts on a way to work with this?
