  • Want Cloned Objects To Spin On Their Own Axes

I have a real simple set up:

A polygonal object inside a Cloner.

The Cloner is Iterating serveral copies.

I have a Random Effector applied that is changing just the position of the clones. This Effector is not animated. I just wanted to stagger the clones out in a random way.

I have another Random Effector applies that is affecting the rotation of the clones. This Effector IS ANIMATED. I’m trying to have the clones spin on their own axes. I’m enabling ‘Rotation’ and testing various values in the H,P, & B rotation parameters. But what is happening, is that they are all swarming around like bees on some far away axes.

My anchor points for my polygonal object is centered. I’ve played with the parametric setting a bit and can’t figure it out.

The effect I am going for is shell casings spinning around in the air.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Best regards,
    Kevin

Nevermind I figured it out. Thanks!

Don’t have a clue why it’s working now, but a new Effector is doing the trick.
