One or the other public radio systems interviews Murch on the release of Jarhead.
Heard the promo this morning, but, umm, can’t seem to find anything at the Web sites listing the interview or a schedule.
Should be available tomorrow as an audio file or RSS.

Just heard the promo again, today, Tuesday, November 8. Program is called “All Things Considered.” check your local NPR station schedule.
“What I do is part short order cook and part brain surgery,” Murch.

Walter was at lafcpug a couple weeks ago and we taped it for later sale on DVD. We will begin shipping in 2 weeks. He spoke for over 2 and 1/2 hours along with Ass Editor Sean Cullen who spoke about the workflow they used on Jarhead.

Great news to hear another Murch DVD is on the way.

I purchased the older DVD where Murch talked about “Cold Mountain” and I’ve used it in my teaching, and it really was a hit with the film students. Several editors adopted his “scene card” idea after viewing the DVD.

LAFCPUG is a great asset, even to those of us that don’t live in LA.
