wahts the hack for firewire control only?
hey again
so larry j or ken stone go into this long discussion about capturing hdv via analog component, but controlling it via firewire.
I have fcp 5.0.4 , a sony M10U, and a dual 2.7 g5, as well as a kona lh
I cant seem to get it to work, and i thought i remeber some mac hack so fcp will let you control the deck yet capture via the card ( i have tried ALL the firewire device control settings and i get error messages saying “cannot init deck” or “to control hdv you must capture hdv”
I have also tried all the settings on my M10U, all to no avail
any help?

(haha i am talking to myself!)
I found that if i shut off audio lock in the M10U menu, i can control the deck!
cool!
now just have to figure the offset through the card!
