VP 17 – SWAP FILES not working
Anyone encountered this? Also, my project is full of Nested Projects (shots with lots of FX/Crop work). What’s the easiest way to force VP17 to force all my Nested Projects and Parent Project to swap from Proxy to 4K files all in one go? (They all share the same (5) 8-minute-long clips that have been sliced apart into separate Events on their respective timelines – I’m restoring old 16mm short films, their A/B negative reels have been scanned in 8 minute-long durations, should you ask.)
Anyway, when I wanna swap out from the Proxies to the final 4K files, I hit SWAP FILES button, it asks me for the directory of the new files (“regardless of file type”), I navigate to the 4K folder and….nothing happens — no change. And yes, the filenames are exactly the same except for the File Type (Proxies are MP4, 4K are MOV (ProRes) — and yes, the MOVs do work in Vegas, I cut with them at the beginning of the project before switching over to Proxies.
It is simply not working.
