    Aloha all!
I’m just noodling (nodeling?) around in Fusion, learning the ropes and such. I want to make an animated title where a rainbow washes across the screen like a wave, revealing the text as it goes. Why? Well, waves and rainbows are both very local. Why not?

I have it working as a proof-of-concept. Yes, it looks like a kindergarten art project. Moving on. As you can see from the screenshot, the text gets clipped by the vortex effect. I’ve tried sticking an empty line or two above the actual text, but the result is the same.

The settings for the vortex effect on the texts are the same as the settings for the vortex effect on the rainbow.

How can I get this effect to not cut the top off the text?

    Mahalo!

The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Just a guess, but there is probably a setting…going to guess on the vortex node, where you can define frame clipping. It usually defaults to frame or something like that, you want it set to none. Not in front of the program, so that’s as close as I can get you.
