volumetric light – noisy!!

Sample distance is the key to reducing noise in visible lights. Try reducing it further.

i think my dell lcd monitors are going.

whats the life expectancy on these guys? i am seeing mid to heavy banding through AE, QT playback.

one thing that might point to a GFX card issue, is in cinema 4d i get this wierd blocky green static

i have a dual 2 g5 with a geforce 5200, not great i know… any rec’s on a good gfx card for use with c4d or AE, or should i just save for 6mos to a year from now when I get a pimped out woodcrest 8 core intel mac. this machine is my home machine, and i mostly work on a machine at my day job, so it can wait. anyone had their monitors do this?

Never experienced that, but it doesn’t sound good. As far as graphics cards, I think the mid-priced nVidia adapters give you the best bang for the buck in Cinema. 7300 series and up.
