    Hi all,

I’m using the voice over tool to record voice over on a project I’m sharing with another person. While recording I muted tracks so they wouldn’t interfear with my voice over, but I did not mute the track that I was recording on. I don’t know why, but it is not playing. I tested the speakers on my computer with the photo booth app and it is indeed re-cording sound. I’m not sure what’s happening. Mute isn’t on, the audio in the clip shows it’s up full blast but no sound. I even closed final cut and re-started it, but to no avail.

Does you audio track have valid wave forms (command + opt + w)? Open that file in finder and give it a shot – is it ok? Import audio file in FCP and try to play.

It turned out that the voice over was set to record through some sort of internal device, not an internal mic (I am using my computer to draft voice over so I’m just saying it into the computer) that appeared to be the problem. Thank you for your help!
