Is there any software that can tweak / enrich / filter a voice , input as wav files , to improve its timbre, without making it sound robotic … I cant see how to do this in Vegas

    Thank you

Have you looked at the Audio FX? You have EQ’s, Compressors, Reverb, Delay, Noise Gate, etc. Just a little EQ and compression can go a long way to making vocals sound better. The key to making things not sound “robotic” is to use FX in “moderation”.

I am no professioanal, but I have to do voice overs for some medical teaching videos, and I dont like the sound of my voice, it sounds young and not very deep

Ah, OK. Try the Pitch Shift plug-in and make sure that you check Preserve Duration. Use sparingly otherwise it will sound unnatural. This should lower your voice a bit.
