VOB to WAV – any freeware?
Hi all – I’ve got a DVD that was made on a home DVD recorder. And now I’m trying to use some video/sound in an edit I’m doing. If I rename the .VOB to a .MPEG it plays all OK in windows media player but the sound is jerky in AE. So I tried converting that file to a range of different files using Cleaner. DV, AVI, Quicktime etc…. each time it comes through with no audio.
So, I’ve done some googling and found some programs that just convert the .VOB to .WAV – this should fix my problem. But they are all trial versions and only do a limited time. Does anyone know of a free way to do this? I really don’t want to pay for software I will only use once….and I’m not even getting paid for this job!
Any ideas on how to get this audio……I’m open to the wildest suggestions…except holding a mic up to the speakers….Cheers
