VOB from DVD in FCP? :)

MPEG Streamclip is your friend. And it’s free.

Can’t do this. Use MPEG Streamclip to convert the files to quicktime.

For what its worth, actually FCP 6 does support direct import use VOB files, but as usual with multiplexed files in FCP, you won’t get audio, and though I’ve never tried it it would likely be hopelessly slow and painful to work with so not sure why anybody would want to.

Not to mention the fact that MPEG Streamclip can do its work in the background while you continue to edit in FCP, and make QTs that are really good too. So, I agree Andy, why would anyone not want to use rip with Streamclip? That being said, I also use DVDxDV from time when some DVDs prove to be inexplicably problematic for Streamclip.
