I recentley had a few tapes re-jecte because it didn’t contain VITC time code. I’m using FCP Studio 2, AJA Cona 3 out put to a Sony DVW-M2000 deck. Is there some sort of setting I’m missing to get this burnt on the tape? I thought VITC was automatically on the tape? Please help I have to send 15 movies out this week. Thanks, Shawn

Are you just Printing to Tape, or are you Editing to Tape using Inset?

VITC is embed in the picture, but your picture coming from FC have not such a VITC.
The picture that you are laying in the tape needs to take the VITC from the tape, so the VITC will match the LTC.
I don’t work with video desks since a long time, but I think you only need to set your TC generator to REGEN. If you have been stripping tapes to make the Edit to tape, probably is in PRESET.
    Hope this helps.
