I’m fairly new to Vegas but have run into something that is really weird. I’m working on a project with multiple layers (alpha channeled sequential targas). When playing the sequences individually in something like Quicktime, the clips look fine. However, once they are put together in Vegas there is a horrible visual noise – at times it looks like dithering, at other times horrible vertical lines through the image. it does this both within Vegas and annoyingly in the Rendered output.

I’ve assembled the same clips in After Effects and all’s well; so I’m thinking I’ve got some strange setting tweaked in Vegas. Any guidance?

They look OK in preview one at a time?

Nope. They look noisy in the Preview too (regardless of what preview quality I choose (i.e. Draft, Good, Best, etc…).
