Visable Tracks
I am trying to figure out if there’s a way of turning off and on visible tracks without having to re-render. I know AVID does it without re-rendering, but I need it to work on Final Cut Pro

This is s-o-o-0 lame and we’ve been screaming about it since v1 and, no, it’s never going to get fixed. It was one of those “Are you freakin’ KIDDING?” things that many of use discovered all on our own because, you know, it’s not mentioned in any of Apple’s promotional materials for FCP. Are you new to FCP? There are many unpleasant surprises in store for you. Wait till you try to change the speed of clip in the timeline, open a subclip, open a nest, or your get stuck trying to out-guess Autoselect.
There is a FCP Feedback folder on apple.com’s discussion site. Register your disbelief there.
