Hi chaps, seasoned After Effects user here but have a project made in motion handed to me, I bought motion so that I could render out a movie with alpha channel, it’s of a semi transparent ribbon like effect wafting around … well when I render out and import the movie into AE the image is more transparent in After Effects than it is in Motion … can anyone tell me how to achieve a lossless output from Motion please ?

That’s strange. I use both AE and Motion and I’m not sure why. Which codec are you exporting it out as?

Thanks Stephen, I’m not sure if there are any ‘hidden’ settings I should check but I output by going to share\export movie\apple pro res 4444 \ Render Quality \ ‘Best’ – is there anything else I should look out for ?

I wonder if you will get different results if you try the Animation codec set to millions +. This one has me scratching my head.

Sorry, I forgot. Motion 5 doesn’t have the Animation codec. One of the many reasons I’m still on Motion 4. Sorry, I hope someone else with Motion 5 can help.
