Vintage Computer Festival East 9.1 (Amiga Content)
Just an FYI.. I’m giving a speech at VCF East 9.1 on the history of the Amiga computer, this Sunday. This is “9.1” because they had to cancel last year, due to damage from “Superstorm” Sandy. See here: https://www.vintage.org/2014/east/
This is a continuation of the “History of Commodore” series that my good friend Bil Herd gave in 2011 and 2012.
I have already lined up a professional cinematographer with a C300 to shoot my speech… it’s funny, but when “Amiga” is mentioned, video people just show up. That’s a good thing, too, I had someone lined up to run my 6D and/or HMC-40, but this will be better.
Just puttin that out there.. not sure of the Amiga fans out there, or who’s in reasonable distance of the Central Jersey Shore area. I’m going to be hanging around Saturday as well…
This will also mark the premiere/beta view of my other good friend Zach Weddington’s film “Viva Amiga”, immediately after my talk. Zach has been working on this film for about 3 years I think, and I believe, if you’re an Amiga fan, this is a game changer. I have not seen much of it myself, but he’s looking to show the impact of the Amiga on real people… very accessible to non-techies, and I’m even in there somewhere 🙂

Hey Dave that’s great! I was hoping it would be a little closer to me but I’m a little over 2 hrs north of there in upstate NY and don’t know if I can make it down. Good luck!
