Hey Everyone.. thanks for the input here.

Just a question. Is viewport shading in C4D always this cruddy?

    See here https://cl.ly/image/1r201C3t0y0Q

I just compare to how well Maya, Modo and other 3D software displays textures and it’s clean and not pixelated like this.

    Maybe I’m missing a setting?

No, there’s definitely something wrong there. Have you tried updating your video drivers?

Yeah, haha That’s always the first thing thing that comes to mind and always the last thing I want to try.

Isn’t apple generally pretty good about keeping it updated?

So this is in R13…. I opened the scene in r14 and it looks good.

Is there no setting anywhere to adjust this?

    Thanks!

    Well … I don’t think there’s any setting for a driver problem. 🙂

What you *could* do is use software mode instead of OGL, but that’s not a great solution. Or you might check to see if you have EOGL enabled which could be a problem if your video card doesn’t support it. You can check that in the OGL tab in preferences.

So I got a trial of R14 and textures look great there in the viewport. So it’s just r13 giving me issues..

OpenGL is enabled.. so I bet your right. Some sort of graphics card issue with R13.

I think I’d rather just suffer with it for now. I just hate messing with hardware in the middle of a project.

    Thanks Adam!
