Viewing problems with final cut pro
Hi,
I am exporting files using Quick time conversion setting the video compressor to ‘None’ to keep files uncompressed. I’ve stored them on an external hard drive. Some files are about 3gigs others up to 25gigs.
Problem is when I copy them onto scratch disc and drag them in final cut for further editing, either during playback or editing a ‘Drop frames’ message appears constantly (same problem when playing them on quick time: freezes most of the time)
I also tried to print them to video but can’t either (same message).
In another words I am a bit stuck…
I have a Mac pro, large amount of free space on the hard drive (around 200gigs) as I archive files on external hard drives (note that I always copy those files on the internal hard drive before importing them in final cut), 6gig RAM and a 2ghz processor…
Also I always set the sequence settings to match the media files settings (same frame rate, compression settings etc.)
Do you what is causing this problem?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Damien
