viewing live capture from avi file
Hello all I don’t know if this is the correct forum but here goes. If not could someone kindly direct me to the correct forum?
I have a video mixer program that has the capability of inserting avi files from an hdd.
I would like to capture video via firewire into the computer and make an avi file on the hdd and simultaneously view and insert this using the avi player in real time by clicking on the avi file being recorded.
Basicallly i would be adding a live camera. The app only reads avi 720×480
Is this possible is there any app or hardware that can do this?

Thank you but I don’t need a tricaster just a utility that would make posible what i need.
