So the new studio is done, the new Mac system is up and running and Higher Ground Media is a reality. I finally have the chance to start working with this brand new work flow. As many of you know I’m new to XDCAM as well as FCP, a daunting learning curve to say the least. But I digress.

I was messing with the Transfer Utility last night and started putting some footage on the timeline. After I set up my sequence I noticed the output to my monitor was not as sharp as what I was seeing full frame in the Transfer Utility browser when viewing straight off the SxS card. I have 2 Dell 24″ hi-defs, one as a work surface recieving DVI from the graphics card and one receiving component signal from a Kona LE card. Is this normal? It looked much sharper on the DVI monitor straight from the card VS the Kona component output. Any input would be appreciated.
