  • Viewer in Premiere CC stops updating after opening sequences and loading clips.

    Dear all,

I recently made the switch to Premiere and I’m running into a few weird issues.

After scrubbing the timeline and moving in an out of sequences the viewer stops responding, it stops updating and playing video.

I can keep scrubbing the timeline, the timecode keeps updating but the image in the viewer does not refresh.

This is quite a strange issue and I think it is perhaps related to my graphics card. A GTX 660.

I have an internal raid that can push 600 MB/s so that could not be the issue I think.

I found a few solutions online but non seem to work, they relate to changing the video rendering and playback engine to CUDA, Software or OpenCL. But none these solutions seem to work in this case. Any suggestions?

In attachment a screen capture to further explain the issue. 16 seconds in I press play but nothing happens…

I’m running 10.9 because my mbox doesn’t support the newer versions so I’d hate to update.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks!
    K.
