View Premiere Pro on External Monitor
I have a stock computer with a firewire card. I need to preview Adobe premiere 1.5 on an external monitor. I have no budget and a DV camera. Can I run the firewire through the camer and composite out to a monitor? PLEASE HELP!

If your camera allows it, yes. Not all cameras do, but a good deal will pass the FireWire input through to the analog port. You may need to enable an option in the camera’s menu settings. Also, on some cameras you have to take the tape out before it will preview live.

If your camera says: DV-IN, it’ll do. If it doesn’t, well, you’re out of luck.
