View Drive Information of Clip in Timeline
Hi all,
I am running MC 3.1.3 (about to switch over to 5)
I have a timeline in one project that was imported from an earlier project on a separate drive. As a result, the media from the earlier project is offline.
My problem is that I do not know which project the media is from as I only have the timeline and not the original bins of the earlier project. I need to load the correct drive to gain access to the media.
Is there any way to display the drive information for an offline clip in a timeline so I can identify which drive the older project is on?
Tried looking into the Clip Summary Reports, but can’t seem to find the drive.

go to “Set Bin Display” for the bin in which the sequence resides. Turn on bottom selection (not in front of system right now), something about clips created by user or something to that effect. There are two check boxes together – just make sure they’re both active. Click OK, save bin and you will see all the source clips that made up the sequence. Drag to another bin, put your bin settings display back to what they were.
You now have all your sources, use bin columns to find all related metadata.

Bin/Set Bin Display and checked “Show reference clips.”
“Select reference clips to see all the source material related to sequences you add to the bin.”
This displayed the individual clips from the sequences in the bin and I was able to see which drive they are on. Now I know which drive to load.
