Videolevel-Problem with AJA RGB Codec
A short description of the problem:
I loaded some SD-clips in AJA-RGB-Codec with Finalcut. These clips had
been retouched with Combustion and rendered in AJA RGB Codec. Black has
the value 10% of the video-level and white has the value 90% of the
video-level after importing of the retouched clips in FCP. It seems
that nothing has changed in the gamma-range.
It is strange that the difference between the video-level of the
original clip and the video-level of the retouched clip could be only
seen, if the whole video-image is displayed in Canvas (“Fit to
Window”). If you zoom in (therefore, just a part of the video is
dispayed in Canvas), the original clip and the retouched clip are
identical. My extern Tektronix Waveform presents the same result.
Unfortunately, the video-levels are identical, but differ still from
the original (displayed with “Fit to Fill”). The image on the
video-output becomes darker and the black-values decrease.I ask for your quick help, hopefully before tomorrow!
Best regards!
Markus
