Video won’t export

Hard to know what’s happening, but I’ll assume that you’ve done the obvious:

The program plays fine on your timeline?
Close/Reopen your Premiere project?
Reboot your computer?

If the problem persists you might try to Encode directly from Adobe Media Encoder. There’s a series of tutorials on how to do this here on the COW. Here’s a link to the first one: https://library.creativecow.net/devis_andrew/Premiere-Pro-CS6-Basics_86/1

Also, try exporting out a segment of the program beyond the 8 second mark that you indicate something changes. If it exports fine from there, you likely have a problem with a clip or graphic in that first few seconds.

I’ve never used CS5, we started with 5.5 and now on 6.

What type of sequence are you exporting from?

Have you rendered your entire timeline first? Might try that.

When you play the timeline, the first 8 seconds is definitely in sync, correct? Just making sure it didn’t get knocked out of sync before you did the export.
