Video turns red during editing and disappears
Running Vegas Pro 8.1 final release. During editing, video turns red and disappears from time line (audio stays on timeline). If I close Vegas and re-open it, the video returns to normal. It does not do it on all video clips within the project, just some. I have to keep closing Vegas every few minutes or clips turn red and disappear. I am on Windows 7 running a brand new high powered PC with 6GB memory.

If you want to run a 64-bit version of Vegas, I’d upgrade to Vegas Pro 9 as I’ve seen many issues with 8.1.

But isn’t Release 10 due out in September? I’d rather wait and save the upgrade money. Does Sony usually offer a deal, buy Release 9 now and upgrade for free to 10?

I’ve seen them do it before, but it is no guarantee they will do it again. I would call sales, to find out.
