video track tabs out of order in my sequence
hey weird question…..
the video track tabs on the side of my sequence have gotten out of order. now my time line shows up as:
V3
V1
V2
A1
A2my sequence still plays fine, but the video layer stacking is switched, and its just annoying. avid is not allowing me to simply drag the tab back to its proper place….anyone know a quick solution that i’m missing? thanks.

You should be able to drag it back into place, or use the “set default” in the timeline menu.

You can move the tracks when you hold Alt or Ctrl (not in front of an Avid to test it).

right after i posted, i tried the alt drag solution and it worked! thanks

And this makes for great joke playing on other editors. Move a couple tracks around, then rename them so they show as if they are in the correct order.
Of course I would never do this to anyone else, even if they did pull practical stunts on me all the time……
