Video track bleeds through in MP4 renders
In Vegas Pro 10, video rendered to MP4 almost always seems to include one track bleeding through the bottom edge during dissolves to another track when both are set at 100% opacity.
No problem rendering to QuickTime or MPEG formats.
Know a ‘fix’ for this Pro 10 ‘feature’? Sure it could be cockpit error, but I dunno. Thanx for any insights.

Most likely. It sounds like your media aspect doesn’t match your render aspect and you did some cropping that wasn’t exact enough. Without knowing more about your project it’s hard to say but technically, you don’t have a track that is bleeding through, you have another track that is not covering the entire aspect of the frame.
To debug this, try making your project resolution and aspect match your render resolution and aspect and then you should see it happen in the preview windows as well so that you can correct it.

Thanks for what you do here and with the VASST trainings too. They have given me a great start with Vegas.
Your suggestion makes great sense. I think I’ve already done it, but will double check.
For sure I always include “Match Aspect Ratio” when using Pan/Crop.
